Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using shield-agent, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.
2. Description of Service
shield-agent provides Know Your Agent (KYA) governance for AI agents: a hash-chained audit trail of agent tool calls, runtime policy enforcement, and human-approval workflows for the agents you register.
3. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use shield-agent for fraudulent purposes, to interfere with other users' accounts, or to attempt to circumvent any security measures.
5. Subscription Billing
shield-agent is billed as a monthly subscription. Plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Scale) differ by monthly governed-events quota, governed agents, console seats, and trail visibility, as described on the pricing page. A governed event is one tool call your agents make that Shield allows, reviews, or denies — recorded on your trail.
Usage beyond the monthly event quota on paid plans is metered and billed monthly; events are never dropped. On the Free plan, exceeding the quota prompts an upgrade.
You may change or cancel your subscription at any time from billing settings; the plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
6. Limitation of Liability
shield-agent assists with AI-agent governance but does not guarantee any specific outcome. Our liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
7. Termination
Either party may terminate the agreement with thirty days' written notice. Upon termination, your data will be retained for ninety days and then permanently deleted.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
